In Pursuit of Violence (Loot Sisters #15)

Lady Gray’s decorating style is something I would call post-detonation. There’s messy, and then there’s the aftermath of whatever violent act scattered her belongings up and across the walls and floor.

“Friends!” Gray’s spice-black lips curve in obvious delight. “Welcome!”

“Hi, Gray.” I prod a pillow-topped settee then sit, satisfied no forgotten weaponry lurks beneath.

The others echo my greeting as Gray leaps cat-like atop a table, her barbed tail curling over her shoulder.

“We need your help,” Rach says.

“Oh?” Gray inhales. “Is it goblins you’re seeking?”

I hear Rach loosen her sword. “Please tell me they’re here.”
